Hey guys, my current situation, is that i dont have much money to spend on my sub/amp combo, ive done all the wiring for the amp to be in the boot, now all i need is the amp and sub, im wanting to place the sub underneath the parcel tray next to my battery in my boot, and possibly have the amp mounted on the sub box, this way im not sacrificing any boot space, i saw a pic of an r33 with this setup on these forums, and was wondering what type of size sub will accomplish this, and whether or not its a good idea? Please give me some ideas for a low level sub/amp combo if possible, and would any of you guys reccomend running components(splits) off your amp or not?

Basically im not much of a bass junkie or anything, its just my bass with the fronts/rears are not all that great atm, and its very boomy....do most amps allow all low frequencies to be pass through to the sub(kind of like home theater)?

What sort of budget are you thinking for both?

500? 1000?

To acheive this you will need a 8 inch sub that will fit directly under the parcel shelf..

Nothing over 8 inch!! (side question- could a 10inch fit?)

I would recommened perhaps a 8inch dynoaudio sub.. Or even image dynamics 8inch.. think its id.v3 series?? cant remember top of head

As for amp- i really wouldnt buy a cheap amp. .

you can pick up a cheap audison 2 channel or boston gt amp for under 300.. bridge it to run the sub

As for amp placement.. not to sure if theres enough space to put amp on the sub box and place it under parcel shelf..

Otherwise place amp where the space wheel is.. there should be room there even with the wheel

If your like me and want light go for a low end Kicker 10 or 12 (less weight) and put it in a small sealed box and you'll have more then enough bass for the size speakers your car can fit.

it ur not really into stereo gear, id just get a boss amp or something cheap like that, or even look for a 2nd hand amp, try and get a 10" if u can, i dont think it would really be worth putting a single 8" in there youd probly be better of buying a good set of 6x9's if u dont have any.
