Engine Performance Issue

Hi,

I have an R33 GTS-t. The car recently has been loosing power above 5000 RPM. The car is not miss-firing it just doesn't feel as fast as it use to be.

A few days ago it started to loose power at around 3000 RPM. The problem seems to be getting worse.

I reset the ECU and the power at all RPM levels returned to normal. Since resetting the ECU 2 days later the car is starting to loose power again.

Any ideas?

flat spots are usually fuel issues, try changing fuel filter, using different fuel (different servo if u usually use one)

could be fuel related, but starvation would cause detonation.

Get your timing checked, i found my 33 felt flat around 5000rpm.

advanced the timing a little and made a huge difference.

Mate, could be the Oxy sensor...or the AFM....

Thanks for the replys guys. It feels like the car is being starved (maybe a fuel issue) but it's interesting that everything returns to normal after resetting the ECU...

Maybe its retarding the ignition for some reason after the ECU reset...
