Hey guys,

Help me figure out this problem,

Ive just put a turbosmart single stage boost tee in my r32 and setted it on 13psi. Every time i boot it, it lags until 5-6000rpm before it gets moving. This also happened with my turbosmart dual stage.

I can't seem to find whats wrong with it!!

help me please im dying lol.. dying for more boost!

dont do it mate. i run mine on 10psi all the time. if i go ova that it is guttless, no more response. drives on a huge flat spot.

i have heard that because the ceramic wheel is soo light, it is ineffecient after 10psi. has little to no inertia compared to a steel wheel. ..just what i have heard

that and the main fact that they break apart in a short period of time with any more than 14psi

What happends when you disconnect the boost controller and put it back to stock?

a boost controller should decrease spool up time, not increase it. afterall all it does is hold the wategate closed for longer.

When i connect it back to stock, it just runs normally. with the fmic and exhaust, it runs a 11psi stock.

no disrespect but thats a load of crap

inertia has nothing to do with efficiency, just responce time of the turbo

    • Update time!  The JZX110 had some maintenance needing to be done, so a lot of the seals with replaced to fix some oil leaks. Also used this opportunity to whack on a front mount that I'd bought some time ago.  I also finally got the rear lip painted and fitted.  I then got the exhaust done. It's just a catback for now. Custom made 3" stainless with a turn down. I could have a tip coming out, but it will require cutting the rear lip and possibly the bumper itself. So far I do like and it's made the car a little more zippy.  Close out with some nice pictures of the cars and a sneak peek of what's next.

    • Just something I found searching for more info on Emotion R, apparently the ECR33 Skyline GTS25t was either originally black, or there were two of them, the black one being the original demo car, then building a white one which was part of the 1997-onwards (to at least 2008!) Cockpit Tatebayashi Tokyo Auto Salon booth demo cars. It appears that Emotion R closed down in 2008 and was declared bankrupt in 2010: http://bank-db.com/hasan/208365. I used to love doing this 20 years ago on SAU and got a bit nostalgic for a moment... 😅
