Rb25 Engine Number Location?

did a search nothing came up, suprised people havent asked before...

so yea where is the engine number on the RB25?

passenger side of the block, just above the sump, where it bolts to the gearbox is a flat 30x50mm section with it imprinted on there.

look down behind the turbo, and you should see it.

hey out of interested can you find out where the engine has come from etc only as i having a conversion and 'apparently it a series 2 engine' but i just wondering if i can find this out some how?? hame
