Q: G'day, I am in Sydney, and looking for a fair priced Stagea. How much would you settle for, for a quick cash deal ? 17-Oct-07

A: 12,000.00 Thanks!

methinks he may have to settle for a wee bit less than that.

Dayz kit and all :D

Good buy for whoever gets it though.

This as gone up a bit in the bids now, over of what I could pay so I can comment on it now haha, I am sure a lot of people are watching it closely!

I inspected and drove it yesterday and it's not a bad wagon.

- the roof is a bit of a mess, a fair amount of oil-canning and a few "medium" scratches, not terminal and you could leave it as is if you were not fussy (I'd have to get it fixed I think)

- Rust under the mirrors needs attention, it is due to be done on this one, I have a couple of really small bubbles on mine but this is busting out pretty seriously and will need seeing to very soon.

- It has a slight turbo gasket leak, which may only mean a quick tighten of the manifold, or a gasket, could even be the turbo on the way out but seemed to drive and boost fine

- Has Tein (green) coilovers, at least the rear righthand side has a minor leak, ride height is nice and ride was good and quiet, speed bumps were no drama.

- New tyres - compliance spec I would say, was only complied in July by IAMSHE on the Goldie

- Interior is fine, a few strange pieces of trim missing like the panic handles in the back seat... Needs a good clean inside to see what is really there.

- A few obscure pieces of Japanese electronica - including TV antennas glued to the roof.

- The body is pretty clean with only a few pin dints and small scratches that would touch up ok.

- left hand side rear of Dayz skirt is dislodged, needs some attention, would probably pop back in fine though.

- Has no security system so is not insurance friendly

If you were going to buy it and drive it as is I think it would be a good deal, I would have to get it right which would cost a bit.

Disclaimer!!! These are only my personal observations, buyer beware!

Cheers

Luke

$7,851.55 with 3hours to go, <sighs> why do I have to be poor :crys:

$8,600 in the end.

Sounds like it wasnt in top condition so its not too much cheaper than normal, but its still a 98 with only 101kms...

yeh you could nearly put money on it that it will be back up for sale .unless it sold to another back packer on one of those other sites . ska you should of bought it and burn that commy wagon haha . atleast then you wouldnt have as many troubles .
