I recently blew the top off my custom alluminum plenum due to over boost and a lean backfire and much to my supprise

i found small bits of rubber inside, now im guessing it would be a perrishing vacume hose somewhere but am curious of other peoples opions on what else it could be!

Any and all feedback appreciated

Cheers Ryan

Im pretty sure the gasket for the plenum onto your runners is a rubber one, well atleast it is on the RB25's. Maybe pieces of that? That's my guess, or yeah like you said, a bit of a rubber vacuum line but that's a bit weird...

PM-R33 - na the gasket inbetween the runners is a very fine paper gasket i have bought plenty of them genuine from nissan. but yes your right it is a bit weird.

SECURITY - nope not the joiners the only thing i can think of is the fact that a lean backfire is obviously quite a big explosion so maybe it has destroyed a vacume hose inside otherwise im all outta ideas.
