The hicas is fairly invisible at low speeds i.e 80km/h.

I've found it to be a little worrying at higher speeds but its more so like riding a horse; just go with it and its fine.

It shouldn't cause you to hit a gutter etc. If it does I suspect something is up with the hicas.

Mine recently has started moving around a little and is a result of a stuffed hicas rack. Jack the car up and you may find the wheels can be wobbled from side to side excessively.

Mine mostly plays up on acceleration as it tramlines from the rear essentially steering from the rear; makes for very nervous hard throttle lane changes.

Has the subframe/hicas been removed at some point? Maybe there's an airlock in there?

thanks hun im about to put it on a hoist just to make sure that nothing else is damaged and ill get my mate to look at that, i was going around a bend to the left and it just went out from under me so i went to power out of it but that was the bad move i think cause that is what threw me towards the gutter what do you think i should have done?

I'm with Cubes, HICAS just makes the car feel vaig*(spelling) when you're really on the edge, it shouldn't make you turn into the gutter. There may be a problem somewhere.

However, it's not because of an airlock etc. as the hicas on the 33 is all electrical so there are no hydraulic lines

Look for a post in the diy section about HICAS diagnostics, there is a self diagnostic program that you can access by doing certain things, might help find the problem
