I know theres been a few threads lately about zorsts and them being too loud.

Well heres an indication for you. Today at work I got mine checked.

The requirements are rev car to cruising rpm (i did about 3 of them to see what it came up with)

Then just let it rev at that for around 5 seconds. For an older car the limit is 96db for a new car is 91 db.. Don't ask me what the specifications on years are because I don't know. I think older than 9 years is classed as the older bracket..

ANYWAY.

My zorst system is as follows.

3" turbo back with 4" tip and two resignators (they were on there when we got it)

The results were as follows. (Could be lower because of the resinense(noise) of being in an undercover car park)

2500rpm == 76.5 db

3000rpm == 88 db

5000rpm == 96 db

I was pretty happy with the results..

HINT: Apparently theres going to be a blitz on exhaust noise in Brisbane. The machine they use costs $18000!!!
