18" brakes? get the tape measure out, you need to run std size wheels in Targa. Don't think 16" wheels would fit. :-)

:D i wasn't going to say anything about the brakes or the fact that the suspension set up would be illegal as well (unless its just the TEIN set up)

Either way a built GTR is always nice to see on the road, sounds like there not taking any chances with a new motor/box :/

32 GTR price $12000 - $200 000+

Its not the JIGSAW racing 32 is it Skip???

I thought jigsaw racing's was a R33? Targa will only let you have adjustible dampers, averything elce must be stock (even hicas :/ ). And this year you were allowed to run option sized wheels (18x9 on R32, and 18x10 R33) but that rule might be getting reversed.

Is it matt's blue R32?

The V-spec GTR is 33 but there is also a 32 GTR getting around with the JIGSAW Racing sticker.

Rickard's was running a single set up or has he changed again???

I doubt he would take it to a local servo anyhow unless it was to get a wheel alignment or something along those lines.

Hopefully Benno can post up about the wheels and ruling for TT08...

Im still trying to picture 18" brakes and the wheels you would need to clear them :/

If the work shop is in kingston, its Matts Blue GTR and all they are doing is just putting the engine in its really a RacePace built car!

Ah that makes sense then, will be good to see it back in action again as its been off the road for a while (longer than mine :spank: )

Did he stick with the single or go back to twin set up again Ray???

Optional wheels sizes will be OK for TT08.

R33 can contuine with 18x10, R32 17x9 or 18x9.

Yeah you can run them but you can bet onyone who does is either slow or has illegal diffs.

(Not that anyonew seems to check!)

An R33 with tarmac rally legal engine gearbox is etc is not goiung to pull 18 x 10s.

    • It's something we all have to consider as time marches on. Also consider lifted rally MX5 conversion at that point.
    • I should be fine for a few more years, whilst I do have arthritis I also exercise and do mobility training every day to keep as fit and healthy as I can, military life, which is the actual cause of most of my joint issues, has set daily regimes, which I weirdly enjoy I also train alot smarter now, not really focusing on lots strength or puffy muscles, I'm more focused on maintaining what I have for my future older self, I actually train as much mobility now as I do exercising Check out this "simple" drill I have been doing daily prior to training now for a while now, this has worked wonders in my all round mobility
    • I'd say one thing that may make you sell is the same reason the guy with the hard top roof sold his. He got old, and his back was giving him too much grief stopping him getting in and out... Old guy said he was 73! He looked and sounded younger than 73 to me! Or maybe I'm just aligning with old people more...
    • Already looked at a few prior to getting the MX5, really nice car, had all the mod cons, but I wasn't really sold on the new "look" I did miss my 2017 Limited, and I personally prefer the "look" of the older car over the new model, but, when pondering I kept going back looking at MX5's But it was same same for the new ND's, I wasn't sold on the new "look", especially the RF with its weird roof, which only half goes down, like a targa top sort of thing As I stated before, I did look at NC's, but the cars I looked at were PRHT's, but I didn't like their roof line "look" of the PRHT, until I saw the soft top version, (someone on SAU posted a for sale ad for one with a soft top that caught my attention, you can blame them for my choice.....🤣) and.... that old style detachable hard tops were available for them, which keeps the old MX5 more smoother flowing roof line, and the more rounded body style, similar to the NA-NB, to me, the arse end of the ND looks to "modern" Much like how I prefer the NC1 front bar, over the later models How long will I keep this car for is unknown, but currently, there's nothing else out there that "floats my boat" for a small, fun, little "sports car", that I can play with and enjoy looking at and driving But, who knows what the future holds, and going off current new car styling, if I replace it, it will be a older model something something
