It's official, there will be a 2010 Nissan GT-R Spec V and it will be sold in America. A Nissan source has confirmed that a lightweight, more powerful version of the new supercar is nearly complete and will arrive in America about a year after the GT-R hits U.S. dealers early next summer.

Hide your daughters.

i prefer to have all the luxuries..................listening to classical music in my cardigan, doing 140km/h around the corner while giving the porcher/ferrari, lambo the fingers as I pass them.

I thought originally it was stated that there was going to be the standard model, a V spec model AND an Evo model (lighter and faster again - but only 2 seater) and each of them was going to be released a year appart?

A friend in Japan told me standard 480ps, V-Spec 500ps and Evo 550ps models would be released (in Japan at least).

If they're goin for specs that are similar to Porsche shouldn't it be:

911 - GT-R

911 Turbo - GT-R V Spec

911 GT3 - GT-R N1

seeing as N1 has traditionally been the stripped down racegoing version... just like the GT3, and the V Spec's been the souped up version of the base model... just like the Turbo?

I'd have thought the aim was for the V Spec to beat the 7:31 of the GT2 and then for the EVO to beat everyone.

Anyways.....

i'd have thought the N1 would compare more with the 911 GT2 instead of GT3. stripped down, more power. whereas the GT3 has less power than the turbo.
