I'm a 19 year old certified welder and working in a show that builds bridges and as a new guy i'm making $20 an hour and just got offered the job of assembling (2 5/8" flange 1/2" web) beams and working the sub arc machine and their gonna pay me $26 soon. I know that if i went up north or into the Alberta oil sands i could make $45 an hour in a heart beat and with my own welding truck $120+.

What do trades pay their, I worked with a guy who was offered a job in Australia teaching millwrights as he is an extremely good millwright and he said the pay was like $16 an hour they told him, he could be full of shit and not have gone because he's not certified in anything but does eveything.

But what do you fellow trader persons get paid or what could you be getting paid if you choose to do some of thoes shitty high paying jobs theirs never a shortage of, and what are thoes shitty high paying jobs the coffee room is always talking about?

One of my mates was a 2nd year sparky taking home over $1100 a week... Only did 10hours over time a week... So the money is there for apprentices. But his boss was obviously on a squllion.

Either way, if your not fully qual you wont get the money, especially if your no long an apprentice.
