i was planning on going for Lenso rims from Tempe Tyres in Sydney if anyone has ever heard of them. I was wondering how the rims are over there in terms of weight because i wouldn't want the rims to slow my car down.

Which brand would be best for weight where the price could go below $2000?

Your profile says turbo excel??

So this going on an excel?

If so then i couldnt recommened any jap rims then :(

Any rims sold at tempe tyres are heavy lol..

How about you go there and pick them up and see for yourself.

My buddy club p1s weigh about 6 kgs each without rubber.. Now thats light

I reccommend Ray's engineering wheels... not sure what they're called as I never had one... but when my mate bought his... I compared his (with my hands) to another mate's set - and wow, so much lighter... if you're interested in weight reduction, this is a must.

i'm with spunkymunky, rays/volk rims are usually lightweight. i have a set myself and they're alot lighter than most rims. most of the rims you'll find at tyre places are nice n shiny but weight a shitload. you get what you pay for :(

you will find abobroad minded personely nothing under $2000 thast light....$3000 + rubber for some CE28s, think they are the lightest.

with $2000 you are limited to second hand.

basically they must be alluminium or magnesium and MUST be forged.

not all rays wheels are forged. so choose wisely.

these companies all make forged wheels:

rays engineering

Enkei (make very light wheels, probably the lightest - NT03)

Weds Sports

Buddy club (p1s are NOT forged, only P1QFs are)

BBS

Work (very few forged models)
