hey guys, the panel in the dash for the tv/sat nav control have what looks like a headphone jack or something does any one know what they actually do? as when yoiu stuff around with other buttons i can get the tv to go onto a av channel, i pulled the tv out and there is no av inputs was just wondering if these posibly are a av input.

what i have planed is to putr a dvd player under passenger seat and if these are a av input, run dvd player through them, making the stock screen actual useful

I have the same thing with my car and i am trying to see if i can get a head unit to run the screen because my cd player is not working properly, it only works about half the time and on a long trip it gets real frustrating,

went one better but tv on av and pluged ipod into hole closest to drivers side, and presto had sound from ipod, went down and got a adaptor to go from av to 3.5 pluged playstation in and i had picture on screen and audio through speekers, so that solves that prob what they do

on a trivial note. if someone has one of these cars in brisbane I would like to have a fiddle with it. I'm considering doing the R34 ( I do the V35 now.) as well for nav,TV,DVD etc.

Chris, I'll have to get you to pop round one day to have a look at mine. I'm getting the radio sorted when the rest of the audio gear gets sorted but would like to learn more about the video and how to get a NTSC/PAL converter (or whatever it is) that gets it all working.

40.00 incl postage off ebay, just be careful when looking at them because there is a heap of ntsc to pal ones on there but very few pal to ntsc and the ntsc to pal wont work

Ah, so its definately PAL to NTSC - converting our TV signal to NTSC for the receiver to work.

Hi i tried ebay and cheapest converter i found was $199. You think u can send me a link or something.. I'd love to be able to play dvds or even playstation or somethin. Please send some photos of how u set the converter up and stuff. That would be awesome. I understand 50 times better when i see something. Its true what they say... A picture paints a thousand words. In my case some photos will paint a frikin library. Cheers!!

Thanks a lot for that!, I hope i can get it to work. The only problem i got is that the tv has a mind of its own and turns on when it can be bothered, most times when i press the open button, it wont pop up.

Anybody had a similar problem and fixed it?
