Ive perchased a bracket/kit from a guy who tried to use it on his r32 GTR.

Everything lined up for him but the pad overhung by 14mm.

When I try to use it, everything lines up with the correct overhang but it pushes the caliper off centre by 11mm.

What I need is to find out why he didnt have the same problem, is the hub of an R32 GTR a different offset to the caliper mount of a gtst?

In the pic the blue line shows where the caliper should mount to but the bracket moves it out 11mm so the red line is where everything fouls. (top of pic is stock gts-t)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

The hubs are different but not with regards to the offset for mounting the calipers.

The difference is he has a GTR which std runs a 296mm rotor. So his caliper has longer tabs, pr what are referred to as lugs for mounting the caliper over the 296mm rotor. The GTSt uses a 280mm rotor so the caliper has shorted lugs to acomodate the smaller rotor.

So his caliper should sit in the same line as mine. I understand why his had the 14mm overhang on the pads but i dont understand how he believes the rotor was central to his caliper. The bracket pushes it off center.

The question now is how do I fix it, I have access to a head/block facer but that would take ages to get down 11mm and would be hard to setup a small object on.

Effectively the face of the bracket should be on the exact same plane as the face of the where the caliper normally bolts to. As per your blue line.

Actually, i assume the black in the lower pic is the bolts. You should be bolting to the caliper from behind the bracket as the caliper is what has the thread. The fact that you have drawn some grey on the upper pic on the rotor side of the hub, effecticvely sandwiching the hub. Well i know who made it, the person in his advert quoted workd for word some of my posts and then sold brackets which to date i have only seen one kit...yours is the second. In both instances they didnt fit so :( So despite the persons best intentions i dont know if they really knew what they were doing :glare:

Sorry, my bad. Just did a quick sketch on ms paint didn't think about the bolts too much. The bracket was bought on ebay and I'd be very surprised if the guy I bought them off of had access to a machine that could cut the different radius's that are on this bracket. The bracket in the instructions would fit perfect but the one i have is slightly different.

Heres the thread that I ended up buying them from (the instructions are also posted in here and again I've used the ms paint to show the problem).
