Speaker Setup Help

Hey guys, my new infinity 6.5" splits are about to arrive anytime now, and need to know what i need to do to get some good front sound stage. I heard these speakers are very good quality, so im really crossing my fingers on this one....

Ive got a pioneer 50w x 4 headdeck, some average pioneer 6" rear speakers, and no sub and amp.

My question, i just want good bass/mids for the sound system, and preferably in the front, my mate is going to give me his 800w boshman amp, shoulkd i use the amp to power the splits???since its 4 way?

how should i setup my sytstem, i dnt wnt to add a sub if i dnt have to.

definantly use the amp to run the splits. if you dont have a sub you will have zero bass in comparison to mid/high range

Thanks for your help mate, when running the amp to the slits, do i run the low pass to the slits 6.5"woofer, and high pass to the splits tweeter?is that how it would work???, and also is it possible to have too big an amp? which could possibly damage my speakers?(how will i know what amp would work best for my speakers?).....i may look into getting a sub in the future, but for the time being im thinking of just buying some splits for the fronts, maybe 6x9s in the rear, and amping them.
