ok well a while ago i was feeling the burn of a boost leak, so i replaced my dodgy exhaust piping on fmic to a proper piping kit however the top aftermarket pipe has no nipple on it like the std one so the hose that used to run off it has nowhere to go so i drove the car with it just hanging off and the car still felt crappy, then i put a screw in it and now my std car on std boost spins up to 10psi(or more i dont have the guts to gun it yet so i back off at 10) but used to run stock 7psi or 5 i think. does ne body know what this hose is?

this pic aint my car but thats the hose im talkin bout and i have no way to connect it to that pipe like that.

hmmm sounds like that might be it but where else is could i run it to? where is pressured in the system? also im not sure if its a vaccum tho cos i reved it with my finger over it and there was no suction but i havent tried it with a guage just my finger on it

going off what your saying you've disconnected you wastgate actuator vacuum line. thats why your overboosting. you can just connect or "T" this line into anywhere on the pressure side of you system.

i had mine Td in but it was still overboosting so i drilled a hole and tapped a thread in my cooler pipe and added a nipple! theres heaps of threads about doing it. ill try and dig em up. :)

i contimplated doing this but was a bit scared of not doing it right and getting a boost leak, some diy info would be good, ill try searching for the threads but if u no ne please post a link. thanks

edit: did a search and i found heaps on it, looks like ill have to do a bit more work on the car tomorrow then!cool thanks for the advice, was fun tho boosting to 10psi lol! faster but scary as hell cos i was waiting for somthing to break lol

you could always get the nipple welded on as well if ya want. mine is only screwed in with some of that white plumbers tape and it doesnt leak.

i have a welder here at home but i dnt think id risk welding it as the pipes are just too thin, after reading up on this topic i know how to resolve the problem now i think, just buy a nipple and tap it into the piping, cool, so i drove the car from my parents to my house with the hose blocked, like a good 20k's. is it safe to drive it more like this or sud i fix it asap?

ok well im off to bed, spent all day repiping the cooler but was worth it, now 2moro another day off work spent on the car.Have to:

-cut the fan blades

-install this nipple thingy

-cut up my spare bumper so i have a nice big hole in it for racing!

-make sure all the hoses are on nice and tight so they dont blow off

and last but not least check all my vac lines for leaks as i havent really fixed the problem it seems!

then clean aac valve prob
