Strengthening Auto Box

hey guys,

my r33 auto is currently pretty stocko just got fmic, cat back zorst an boost control (11psi) and im looking to upgrade the gearbox a bit before any more engine mods or more boost/more power. read a few threads about MV Autos 'valve body upgrade'.. i read a $350 'valve body upgrade' allows the box to handle 250-300kw which is plenty but im no gearbox expert and not sure exactly what it is/does. anyone care to shed light on 'valve body upgrades'?

any help would be much appreciated

Not meaning to be rude but have a good look around. There's plenty of info. Here's a tip you wont find for yourself though; search the group buy section for valvebody or mv automatics cos there was a big thread in there a couple of years ago when we did a group buy that ended up having some good info posted in it.

Knox Automatics In Melbourne also do the the stage 2 shift kit but alot simlplier to fit than others on market.

How is it simpler? You're still removing and refitting/replacing the valve body right? If so then it's exactly the same.
