Crossover For Splits....where Do You Install It

Hey guys, ive just mounted my new tweeters into my r33 door panel, and was wondering what the best place would be to mount my crossovers for the splits....i was thinking somewhere behind the doortrim???, and maybe using double sided tap or something?

My cousin installed some into his R32 GTR recently, and we just put them behind the door trim. Used 2 x self tapping screws, and just tapped them into the door.

Sat nice and flush and cleared the window.

as above. DS tape will come off. had a car with Morel Elates today that had that done and I ended up making brackets for the things so they would stay put.

I installed mine the other day, my door cards had a gap at the front of the pocket, (at the bottom of the door card the pocket) i had the cross overs put in there with just the wires going through the gap, this way no water or anything will get into the door and screw your crossovers, but otherwise tape them,

mine were installed in the door trim. some cross overs actually look good on display... depends on it your up for cutting your door trim though.... personally i wasnt.

I used Loctite 480 to glue them to the door panel - won't come off ever!

whats the purpose of those cross over anyway? im no audio expert, but i just recently bought new splits for the front, and it came with crossovers..

didnt bother putthing in, and music still pumps...

The cross over splits up the frequencies, so the lower, bass frequencies will go to the woofer (the big speaker), and the higher frequencies will be sent to the tweeter.

They're not hard to setup. I'd highly recommend you install them lol.
