Hey All,

I need to clean my engine bay soon as it is becomming real dirty.. Just wondering if any of you out there use the car lovers high pressure sprayer to clean it? or it this not advised?

I was watching a few youTube clips about engine detailling and they all pretty much use a high pressure sprayer or hose.. Would or could this affect electrical components in a liner?

just want to hear if (or how) people clean it.. ( i kinda want to stay away from the hard method of rubbing everything)

thanks :P

thanks ali,

i suppose i could tie off a platic bag over the air pod, but would the factory "coil pack cover" be sufficient in keeping water out? If not, i will probably just not spray the head of the motor and do that part by hand ..

any others have any means of cleaning the engine bay (i.e. tips)

cheers

cheers GTS4WD,

do you tend to "cover" up your air pod when spraying high pressure?

hmmm degreaser, here i come :D

It wouldnt be a bad idea covering your pod, simple job so just do it.

But yeah i agree, soak it all with degreaser, let it sit, then blast away. So long as you dont be silly, and like direct the spray onto electrics and hold it there lol. A quick sqipe over isnt going to hurt.

I high pressure cleaned the shit out of my Hiace, it was so fffing dirty, was going at it for about 20 mins. Never missed a beat.

Also used to soak the ITR engine in degreaser, and just hose it off. That worked too.
