Welcome... looks nice and kinda like what I want. Was going to import very soon but think the Japanese tragedy will delay that greatly.

As a fellow Geelong person in a too common R33, feel free to contact me if you need a hand with anything. I know a few people and am happy to help.

Hi every one :action-smiley-069:

Just picked up my v35 coupe on Monday.

Its in the rare metalic silver... with 33K on the clock. The lazy auto, with 19" rims, premium, with black leather interior.

My previous car was a Toyota Soarer twin turbo, and before that a different Turbo, so its a little strange for me to drive NA, but good . This car feels more like a go-cart to me, than the Soarer, and Still feels like I am driving "someone elses car" I had the Soarer for 6+ years.

My plans are for window tinting and a Carputer; my CD stacker is jammed, radio has not been convereted, and all my tapes are in storage and I think I am past all my 80's music...

I am still learning where / what all the butons do. The one thing that I have not worked out yet, is how to adjust the dim on the dash :teehee: when the lights are set to "Auto". As soon as the lights turn on (driving under a bridge / tunnel), the dash goes REALLY dark. Where is the adjustment? I have downloaded the G35 owners manual and the G35 service manual, but where they say the dimmer swithch is, (but LHD) is nada for me.

Welcome to SAU, John.

Although it's slower than most turbo cars, V35 are pretty fast for an NA car. You could always turbo or supercharge it. :)

With the dimmer switch, I don't even know if it's exist. I thought the main reason the dash light dimmes down when the head lights come on is to let the driver knows the head lights are turned on. But in my 2010 Nissan Dualis Ti, the dash light stays the same when the head lights turn on.

hello.

this is my new v35, its a 2003 manual non-premium with works and exhaust only as yet. keen to keep it for a while and enjoying it thus far, especially the sound in tunnels... cloth interior actually not bad when its in good condition...

keen to do some track days soon and generally upgrade over time. coilovers first on list.

Hey guys,

New member, and located in melbourne. Have owned my V35 since september last year and loving every bit of it.

Already posted a couple of pics in the gallery thread, so I thought I'd introduce myself here. yes.gif

Haven't had much done to it as of yet, been doing a lot of research and hopefully purchasing a catback exhaust in the next fortnight..

G35driver + this = not much work done at work I do have to say

Hey Guys,

I'm new to the forum as well, in Perth and in the process of importing a 370gt SP coupe (2008 hopefully).

I know there are not many of them around in Aus at the moment so there may not be a huge amount of advice that can be given but I am interested in knowing what basic mods people are making to these. I dont want to go wild but if there are any basic reliability mods that should be done or any small changes that can add a few kW, then I'm all ears. Also does anyone know if there were any changes between the 2007 and 2008 models and what the differences are between the US/Europe Infiniti models and the Nissans??

Any help appreciated guys, I will start trawling the forum and the net to see what I can find.

Cheers

Al

Welcome Al. Can't wait to see another 370GT on the road in Perth.

Since it's still a newer car, the information will be hard to get sometimes. Don't worry, it will change in the future. :)

All I know of basic mods and (maybe) add a few kW are good high-flow panel filter/CAI and a full cat-back exhaust system with high flow cats. Maybe you can get a good quality coilovers and lower the beast.

I think US/Europe Infiniti models's system are in English. I saw one convertible Infiniti G37 at Fabcar in Cannington and it was all in English, as it was imported from UK, not Japan.

Good luck with the import. Come along with other V-series owners sometimes later, as we are eager to add newer V-series to the group in the future. :)

Welcome to the community all new v owners.

Just a quick question. Dun wanna start a new topic on this. My power windows are still operable without turning the ignition, without the key even inserted into the ignition. Is this normal?
