ive had the x-force cat back with highflow cats for about a month & it sounds awesome & there is very good gain,i also have the jwt pop charger & plenum spacer. i have to admit there is a bit of drone mid range but with the power gain & sound when i give it a bit of kick im happy.

just have to dyno it now.

How loud is it just driving around and doing 110kph on the highway?

Hi all, this is Sean I have ownwed my 2003 Skyline 350gt coupe for 4 months now and although its my dream car for now, I'm so frustrated with the electrical problems so far. First my left headlight goes out but came on with a tap, then no more. So driving around with 1 headlight, not long after the right one goes out, so car parked at nights until i had time to check it out. Joined this forum to try to get some help and thankfully someone here put up pics of where the fuses were and how toget to the light bulbs. After blown bulb and headlight fuse replaced all good. Until last week I hit the CD button to listen to some music and all my console switches freeze and dont work. Dash instrument lights also don't work but the dash warning lights do.

checked fuses and radio fuse blown. Replaced that fuse but no good nothing works still.

is there another fuse box besides the 2 on either side of the battery? Need help desparately as this is really putting a downer on enjoying my 350.

if anyone can help would be great.

hey guys. long time member, first time in this section.

in the past had 3 R33s including lambo orange with R33GT plates, 180sx, 2x silvias, wrx. Just owned a S2 RX8 which i learnt a valuable lession about not owning a roter for a daily so I traded the rx8 in and now the owner of a 2006 V35 350GT premium. Excellent car.. love it and personally shits on the RX8 in just about all ways (except handeling). Anyway got to learn a few things about them and what to do first. Not going to after market but researching at this stage what direction to go in.

Hey All,

I just got my 2004 Coupe Silver AT, so I am new to it and the forums.

I'm thinking of modifying the car down the track:

1. Full body vinyl wrap (maybe...)

2. Another set of rims and tyres (maybe...)

3. Suspension components

4. Intake and exhaust system

5. Minor bracing and chassis strengthening

Just drop in to say hi and/or give suggestions and/or advice, very much appreciated. smile.gif

Welcome, mate. What colour body vinyl are you thinking of?

Hi I just bought a 2005 V35 Coupe, black of course. Apart from new rim and tyres its pretty stock.. I am interested in getting it delimited for the speed restriction.. I found a place in perth I can send the ECU to get reflashed.. just wondering if anyone knows a place in sydney that can do that?

I come from the motorcycle side of things.. so this is my first sports car... what's the benefit of a cold air intake? does it make much difference? and pretty keen to get the jap - english conversion... any news on when the series 2 conversion will be ready?

thanks for any help or info! I'll post a pic soon!

cheers

Kian in sydney

    • Hows your intake piping? Are you still running stock? Having in the stock AFM position would mean, if the BOV was shut/venting out, it'd create the almost stalling kind of effect right // "the rich pulse behaviour" due to MAF thinking air is flowing ? But this would be better than having the bov in the stock position + MAF on/just before cross over piping right?
    • Essentially, yes. Although I wouldn't put the AFM on the crossover pipe. I'd want to put it into what amounts to the correct size tube, which is more easily done in the intercooler pipework. I bought a mount tube for card stile AFM that replaces the stock AFM - although being a cheap AliExpress knockoff, it had not flange and I had to make and weld my own. But it is the same length and diameter as the stock RB AFM, goes on my airbox, etc etc. I don't have a sick enough rig to warrant anything different, and the swap will take 5 minutes (when I finally get around to it and the injectors & the dyno tune).
    • So to summarise, the best thing to do is to move recirc to between turbo and IC, and maf on the crossover pipe. Meaning I'd need a recirc flange, drill a hole in the piping on turbo outlet area. And drill hole on crossover to fit/weld maf sensor? Either that or put the MAF on the turbo inlet right?  Is an aftermarket recirc/blowoff valve recommended? Do currently have family in Japan so could probably bring something back with maybe a cheeky lil SuperAutobacs run?
    • Yep, so far most have said that it looks like corrosion on the wall from piston not moving. Which then has probably damaged the oil rings and caused those vertical marks. The longest the engine was still after the rebuild, was the winter of 2018 - 2019, plus the boat trip to Japan. When I shipped the car, it had normal gas in the tank but before that winter pause, it had E85 in tank.  In any case, even if either one of those was the cause, it happened close to 6 years ago and the car has been driven something like 30 000kms after the fact. Again, apart from the plugs and the dip stick, there is nothing in the way the car runs that would indicate what has been going on in the engine. I am going to consult a shop and ask their opinion, what would be the best approach. I do have some access to a garage I could use to diagnose further myself, but time is very restrictive. Might end up buying another engine that could be used while this one is being remedied. Without pulling the head, it will be impossible to find out if it needs another bore, but here's to hoping a hone would suffice.  Goddamnit, I would really have preferred this not happening.
    • Boot is going to be replaced eventually. I just wire brushed what I could and rust converted. Then painted in rust kill primer. the spoiler also got repainted and plugs replaced on the ends. The under side of the bonnet is going to be black also, currently white. But red on the top side, same colour code as the silo to begin.
