Knocking Sound Near Left Front Guard

Hi there,

Ive got a bit of a knocking noise coming from the front left somewhere. I think it must be coming from the suspension area as it makes the noice when I go over a bump or rough bit of road. Ive taken the wheel off and checked out the coilover to see if I could see anything that didnt look right but to no avail. Just wondering if it would be my strut that makes the noise although there seem to be no leaks or anything. Anyone with suggestions would be appreciated. Vehicle in question is a R33

you know i once had a weird knocking noise when i went over bumps and it turned out to be a rivet in the shoulder of the tyre! it was very loud, it sounded like something was broken. i have no idea how a rivet could make so much noise, and only on bumps? bit it did in my car. i hope your problem is something as simple as that.

Do you mean like a pop rivet??? Was it stuck in your tread or how do you mean shoulder of the tyre??

There's a good chance that your shocks are gone mate. How old are your shocks? Are they standard?

Shocks arent standard as they are coilovers in the front. Dunno how old they are coz they came with the car when it was bought. Thanks for your info mate
