Just thought Id share... :ermm:

Ive entered into Autosalon Final Battle this year with SAU NSW and I thought that it was about time I cleaned up my engine bay a little...

Its a work in progress, but a good start I think.

This is the process from what it used to look like... And after a lot of cleaning and spraying - what it looks like now.

Excuse the quality of the photo's - taken with phone camera.

Thanks guys, it took about 7 hours all up including taking the covers off and putting it all back

together... I had to be SO careful to not scratch the new paint when I put everything back together.

Any tips for us detailing noobs mick? :ermm:

Take your time to do it right the first time...

Buy / use only the best quality materials...

If you dont have a lot of experience spray painting, get someone who does to show you how...

(there's a certain art to it).

Choose your painting time wisely, the temp outside (or where your spraying) needs to be about

20 - 25 degrees for the best result.

Cleaning and preparation are the MOST important part of the whole excercise, so take your time.

I cant think of anything else right now.
