Help! Weird Noise On Boost

hi guys. i just took the car for a spin and its started to make an odd noise. every time i hit boost relatively hard (positive on the stock guage) i hear a loud whooshing noise coming from the turbo's direction. its not the induction whistle but a louder sound on top of that almost sounds like its coming from my left front speaker.

the car is also feeling slightly lethargic and the tranny was playing up say 10mins b4, flaring and kicking down a gear while cruising at 70ish (auto box). i was taking her out to test a new strut brace i just put on.

i did remove the airbox, intercooler intake and outlet pipes a couple of days ago to try to install a new intake but i gave up. i did make sure to tighten all hoses and replace everything. car has been fine in the two days since

Is it running the same boost before / after you played with it?

exactly the same. stock boost guage, solenoid etc. i have gotten rid of the 2 stage boost but thats not an issue. car has been running prefect with that for almost an year now.

have you gone over all your connections and checked your joins for splits...

One of your intercooler piping joins isn't connected properly. Its leaking out air under pressure. Or there's a split, but most likely you haven't connected it all up properly since you touched it recently.

found the problem. i actually didnt tighten one of the cooler pipes properly. anyways while i was there i decided that i might aswell install my intake so it turned out good in the end. car is running perfect again. thanks all
