Hey everyone,

The aussie dollar is at .915 USD and 105 yen.

I want to buy an R32 GT-R but im wondering whether to buy it now or in 2 years. If i wait theres no guarentee that the aussie dollar will get stronger so if there are any money guru's around please let me know what you think.

Thanks.

yea, its no guarentee that the aussie dollar will be stronger, and i wouldnt think it will effect that much anyway...2yrs is a long time to wait just to get the car a hundred or 2 cheaper....so i think if u find the right gtr, but it :w00t:

Buying an R32 GTR from Japan - the money you spend in Japan on the car is probably one of the smaller sums. It's the money you spend in AUD on taxes, duties, compliance, rego, insurance, maintenance and rebuilds that makes importing pricey.

You're better off waiting 2 years and buying an R34 GTR.

With the cost of importing, in two years time it probably won't be much cheaper..... I just bought a stagea, and the cost in total, on the road was about 10K, but the car itself only cost 2.3K...... so even half the price, you'd only save a bit over a grand tops. And loose time driving the car waiting for the price to drop.

if anything really really nice 32 gtrs have gone up a bit in price as they get harder to find

i saw a black vspec II with 50000km , with logs and history , go for about 2.2million recently

thats a pretty special gtr but you get the idea

crappy gtrs will continue to get cheaper .

Exactly, only the good V spec models with low km's will now start to go up in price, where the others will drop off.
