A Couple Problems

Hey,

For a while my mates Rb25 has been running low compression in cylinder 6. A compression test showed that all cylinders up to 5 are around 150 or so psi but number 6 is around 47psi. Happened after running 2.0Bar Boost for a while. Also after His interior was stolen his HKS EVC IV Reset, now when ever he turns boost to high he gets backfire and the car doesnt want to boost sometimes. Any Ideas on the problems??

do you mean 47 or 147? if 147 its not so bad

but 47? the engine is pretty much cactus and needs opening

Yeh i meant 47 and not 147. So would it be better to sell this skyline & get another one or go with forgies for this one.

Yeah 47 isnt real great. 2.0 bar will do that to an engine funnily enough

may be hard to sell without fixing it.

could be many things so its hard to say, but if your losing compression, there is a leak in your combustion chamber so either a ring problem, valve problem or head gasket problem. all of these are not cheap
