after 3 years of trying we finally won this bloody series in the Road 8 class!

The series was tied in points before the last round, but we now have an unbeatable points tally with one round to go due to the GT40 being a no show on the weekend. a little disappointing to win it that way, not sure what the problem is with the GT for it not to turn up.

our car was 4th fastest car on track out of 120 cars for the day.

big thanks to John from Import Bits who helped me out with some racing slicks for the day

Well firstly, well done. Winning anything (A race, a round) is hard enough these days. A series is very good work.

Just out of interest whose is the GT40?

a guy by the name of Paul Gillis, nice bloke.

sorry for the late reply.

every day the car runs 366 RWKW @ 23 psi. we only managed the 437 RWKW once @ 26 psi. the car wont hold over 23 psi now, we think the internal wastegates dont seal properly, we cant find any other reason for it.

at Phillip Island we did a best time of 1 min 55 something, but with more time (and guts) would think I could have gone a couple of seconds quicker.

I saw the power figure in your sig. 57.3 is a hot time for a rwd. specially a heavy one like the Z32. well done!

I imagine PI would be a pretty daunting place first time there. we don't have anything like it up here to prepare you for those high speed corners.

Phillip Island is just the ducks nuts! if I could race there every month I would. if you ever get a chance to run there, DO IT!

Congrats guys, top effort!!

I've only ever run PI on a bike (high 1:40's) & it really is a track that everyone should go & drive/ride at least once. Nothing like 2-wheel drifting into Turn 1 at 190+ with everything on the deck & shooting sparks off the stainless exhaust, if it wasn't for the cold winters & Gestapo down there I'd consider moving back.

Funnily enough, even after hearing all the comments & watching race footage etc I never once noticed the ocean views whilst screaming down the front straight. Something to do with "tunnel vision" they tell me..........

Yeh...i have never noticed the ocean when driving at PI. Wierld isnt it :)

I have about 100rwkws less then you in my GTSt and i still find the long bends at PI difficult  Havent been there since getting better shocks....but woudl be entertaining with that sort of power
