Head To Manifold Gasket (exhaust Side)

Wheres the best place to get one of these from? Are there aftermarket ones available or am i forced to pay near 100bucks from nissan for one?

near 100? you're getting them cheap then. The least i've gotten one for is 130 from nissan

i paid 150 for my last one.

Personal preference only here, but the last thing i want is to get everything installed, turn the key and hear tick tick tick tick from a gasket leak because the single layer after market gaskets available don't have the thickness to account for the slightly warped 200k old manifold (or 50k old badly warped hks one in my case).

I'm pretty certain aftermarket vl ones can be used if you want to go that way

I'm doing that this time as well, but thats worth 120 on its own....

I get mine from a local autoparts shop they are either ACL or permaseal and are only about $25. They have 7 peices one that goes over all 6 ports and then an individual one for each port. A surface grind on the manifold is almost mandatory.

Its $10 for the gasket..

I could buy two and send you one.. or you could see if you can just buy the gasket..

i used a permaseal one .... started the car up ...tick tick tick tick

off came the turbo.... AGAIN

used genuine nissan... not a problem.... much thicker gasket!!!

is the permaseal one a single layer gasket? the nissan one is very thick, its made up of quite a few layers.

You'll have to go on the site on the link I gave you and see..

Id say it would be something similar to a Nissan one.. I wouldnt be expecting anything amazing out of $10..

Just thought I might throw it in there.. see if it helps at all
