There is a lip on the inner CV - you need get one of those big bent-end screwdriver-looking things and drift the shaft out of the diff (the shaft uses a spring circlip in groove to hold it in).

That makes sense, I'll give it a go tomorrow arvo.

So two of the right angled screwdrivers on either side between the diff and shaft then just lever it off and it will pop off?

Thanks

Undo the inner cv boot, undo the lower balljoint arm and the sway bar. Swing the wheel hub to the outside and she will pop out .If you need to get the drive shaft off you will have to release it from the hub .

No, drift it out (with a hammer on the head of the screwdriver thingy). That way, you only need 1 screwdriver thingy. Once it's "popped", it's plain sailing (after you disconnect EVERY OTHER suspension component!).

yes you need to be patiant. rotate it a few times while levering on the cv housing like the others sugested. ps. rather than undoing all the ball joints. i find popping the boot offt th upright (lower side) and undooing the 22mm nut(the part that turns with the steering) the seperating the upright from the lower arm/hub is easier and quicker.
