Yes, people used to post for sale items in the general section - BEFORE there was a a dedicated thread for it, and while there were only about 20 SA members, so the forums didn't get inundated with a million new posts a day.

Hard to believe that post was nearly 7 years ago! The 2 respondents Matt and Dennis are long gone .... but Whatsisname and Munro were 2 of the guys I first met, and funnily enough would be the 2 guys I catch up with most often off here socially in a non-car-related sense.
