Back Seat Removed...

Hi guys,

Am I safe to say that when you remove the back seat out of the R32/R33/R34 coupe the exhaust noise levels rise by a margin?

I didnt have a problem with my Just Jap exhaust before, but now that my back seats are taken out... its kinda annoying me with the noise.

we'll it does make sense that removing the back seat will definatly increase road noise as there is less dampering there now...

i dont think you could put it down to anything else... if you want to you could check for a hole in the exshaust... unlikely tp be that though.

Yes, it will make a big difference. There should also be a sound absorbing mat that clips onto the chassis behind the seat, if you've removed that also it will make a difference.

I recently pulled my seat off and the sound absorbing mat had slipped down. Just clipping it back in place made a noticeable difference.

Yeah I have put the sound absorbing material back and will put the seat back this weekend.

i dont care if my car is loud outside, as long as it is nice and quiet in the cabin...
