the stock bovs are ok but do tend to leak. as many people on here will end up telling you if you are going to get one go for a plumb back bov. its legal. also good if your not after the attention cause they are quite(ish).

all comes down to what brand bov you want but 200 sounds ok for a decent one. if you get one with a mounting kit that matches the 33 flange then they are easy to install. two bolts, the plumb back pipe and a vacuum line.

Cheers for that info...

thats really cheap.. and a legal one would def be the best for me.. is there anyone out there who knows where is the best cheapest place to go around sydney to get one of these installed? anyone got one who went to a good install place/? cheers

Stock BOV's are fine for most mild applications.

Aftermarket BOV's offer no performance gain, just only noise and sometimes backfiring/stalling, so in my eyes a waste of money.

The money can be spent on other things like ECU/Exhaust/IC... things that will benefit performance

If your stock one fails, just reaplce with a GTR one ($70). I had a single GTR BOV and was running 24psi/370rwkw without issue.

Cheers

the only thing i really want is just the noise.. i know that it doesnt give you any performance but for a small ammount of money could just be a bit of fun .. i have always wanted a turbo car and have one now so its just something that i have also wanted,.. but thanks anyway

A pod will give you noise, you'll hear the standard bov through a pod and induction noise. It won't be as loud as a aftermarket bov, but loud enough.

*people look on in awe saying*

"oh noes nots pods, heat vacuumses"........just shield/box it off and bobs your mothers brother.

in all seriousness these guys are right mate. a plumb back/stock bov is fine. when u are pushing bigger power, keep a plumb back if u wish. but wat u want to get is a bov with a larger diameter.

hey i have an idea!... do what you want to do, its your car and you should enjoy it how you want it... if you want i to make fart noises when you get in, make it do that FFS!!!

enjoy it however you want and if you need help with anything i am happy to help out!
