hi guys,

I have a r33 gts-t and have a FMIC kit from justjap :worship:

I have a mate that works in the fabrication area and he said he'll help me out with making a custom intercooler pipe that runs under the cooler and back to the stock pipes like the blitz LM cooler.

My question is (refer to image)

where the arrow is, along the straight part of the pipe that runs from each bend (left to right) could i make that section of pipe 2 or 2.5 inches and then leave rest of the piping 3 inches?

This will allow more clearance under the pipe from the ground. Or would this restrict flow and cause issues?

thanks in advance

It will make very little difference in ground clearance reducing the pipe diameter where you've mentioned. Providing you mount the kit right you shouldn't have any issues. If your that worried, run the piping behind the cooler rather than under it. Also a 180 bend that tight will cause restriction, I'd be thinking about extending it a bit.

Thanks

the sketch isn't to scale :worship:

the 180 bend wont be so harsh as there needs to be room for the pipe to drop when it runs under the cooler. I can't run the pipe behind the cooler as there wont be room....other than that i dont no how to loosen up or extend the 180 bend....im really just copying the blitz LM piping, except my 180 bend will be situated on the pipe were as the blitz setup is on the core itself (see image)
