Changing Gaurd Indicators

Yes tried the search button... hate it with a passion! lol

Any way.

Have bought clear side gaurd indicators with the orange bulb.

Just want to know how do i remove the orange indicators and swap the lenses over?

Is it easy to do?

Anyone go step by step for me before i try prying them off?

1) get a flat head screw driver and a cloth.

2) pop out one side of the light (side closest to the door i think!)

3) push new light in.

Yeah, that sounds about right.

Don't forget to use some glue to keep the indicator in there. You don't want people stealing them now.

yeh as mitchy said use a cloth over the screwdriver and be careful or you will end up with heaps of scratched paint

I tried using the cloth and screwdriver but found it needed alot of pressure and I actually heard a crack, no visible damage but I don't like damaging things, So I dropped the front of the skit off and undid 2 screws off the inner lining and reached up behind and ended up using a small clamp to squeeze the clip it was that hard, came out by itself and done...

and you also get to clean out the base of your A pillar at the same time doing it this way...

bah screwdrivers and taking the guard off. on the drivers side guard, stick your fingernails in the edge of the indicator closest to the door, slide it towards the front of the car, and once its moved slightly pull this edge outwards. its very very easy. too easy almost

What Basti said, no need for screwdrivers just push the entire indicator lense towards the front of the and it will unclip, to change bulbs just twist it.

Im scared someones going to nab mine though because its ridiculously fast and easy and those things are worth $70...
