what the hell are they gonna do with a car that rare?

take off the valueable parts, conveniently "dump it", let it go thru stolen and recovered auctions, buy it legally for a lot less than the complete car would cost, then put the stolen parts back on. voila... complete car. hell the owner could be in on it too, insurance scam etc. who knows what the circumstances are.

Those XY GT HO Phase III's are fetching up to $1m now. I know of one where the owner has been offered such amount.

I'd take the Ford over the Rolls anyday, it's definately one of my all time favourite cars.

Wow that's a pretty good scam.

"The shiny piece of automobile history was stolen on Monday night from a workshop in Perth's east suburban Osborne Park by thieves who forced open a padlock."

they had about a million bucks worth of automobile, and secured it with a freaking padlock? And the theives had time to MOVE the other cars?

Sounds like it's either a scam, or they don't give a f$%k about their customers cars. Why secure a 600k vehicle with a $2.95 padlock?

If the owner isn't in on the scam, expect there to be murders soon.
