hi guys, well i have my HKS Gt-RS on its way from Nengun...with some 555cc Nismo injectors. i am currently running with:

3.5" Xforce Turboback exhaust

apexi pod

apexi powerfc

apexi powerfc boost controller

hks exhaust cam gear

hks timing belt

cooling pro fmic

should i also upgrade the fuel pump and if i do that, do i need a new pressure regulator?

also what is poeples opions on exhaust and intake manifolds?

my goal is 250rwkws...right now she pulls around the 200 mark

if u plan on making 250rwkw then u definitly need to upgrade the fuel pump. no u wont need a new regulator.

not worth upgrading unless u want big hp. exhaust and intake manifolds that are standard on the rb25det are good for almost 300rwkw. front facing plenums are good as a cosmetic upgrade early in a build but yeh standard plenum is fine. exhaust manifold wont need to be changed unless u wanna run a high mount turbo. nowdays most low mount turbo's can be run on a standard manifold with an adapto plate.

for 250rwkw, turbo injectors and a pump along with a good tune 250rwkw is yours soon.

what daniel said:

* you dont need a reg if you have 550 cc injectors

* standard manifold is sufficient as well as standard plenum

You will need a fuel pump. bosch, walbro and a z32 afm since your running a power fc. Also you will need to upgrade ur clutch depending on what you have in there otherwise it may start slipping as soon as your running your anticipated power level. At the same time, youd want good tryes to get that power to the ground as well as good brakes to stop that power.

cheers

Anton

Agreed

Don't need FPR or aftermarket manifold

1) Fuel Pump (can be done now while waiting without affecting tune)

2) Clutch, this is a definate. mine slipped straight away with the GT2535 and yours will pump out better power than that. (again, may aswell do it now)

3) Z32, another definate but might aswell do injectors/Z32/turbo then TUNE all in one hit,

You will EASILY make 250rwkws with that turbo, expect more like 270 with awesome response.

(Freegan jealous...)

just curious at what power level would you say the standard cooling system with an aftermarket engine oil cooler needs to be addressed. Im talking about safety on a circuit with lots of wide open throttle safe..

im looking at 250 rwkws safe for 6 laps at 2.4kms a lap.

    • Yeah that's true, but idk. Only a 6 month lifespan seems a little short. Oh also, is there a preferred way to send images? Like any sites? I'm used to just being able to upload them lol
    • Hey, like MBS206 mentioned; I dropped off my short block and rotating assembly Monday. With a quick verification, he believes he can clear it up with just a hone and new rings but he will confirm once the rotating assembly is out. If I were you, I would either go stroker or just replace the block if it does need to be bored over to next size. Block is cheaper then forged pistons.
    • live in the UK, and London has introduced a Low Emission Zone (LEZ) that requires individuals to pay £13 if their car doesn’t meet the required emissions standards.   The standard specifies that NOx emissions must be less than 0.08 g/km (i.e., the vehicle must meet Euro 4 standards or better, which generally results in NOx levels of around 0.08 grams per kilometer).   I reached out to Nissan UK, and they advised me to contact Nissan Japan directly. Does anyone have contact details for Nissan Japan or any certifications of conformity that show the emission details or NOx levels for the RB25DET engine?   Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
    • these guys recommended to me and supplied custom 4 inch mufflers, couldn't be happier. They will spec a muffler to your preferred level of sound and know RB's well.  https://spmufflers.com.au/
    • Yeah this used to happen to me every year and a quick call would at least raise the agreed value back up / reduce the premium, but usually both.    That said for the first time on the renewal this year our agreed values went up or stayed the same over the fleet and the premium came down so that was a nice surprise.
