Hey All,

I have recently finished slapping on some bolt on mods to my r33 gtst series 1. Unfortunatly i have run out of cash and get get it to a tunner for about a month.

As its my daily driver i researched the forums about settings i would need to change on the powerfc to support the new mods. After a lot of fooling around i have found a good 'safe' tune for now, no pinging and car seems to be running damn well surprisingly.

The car is rev limited to 5500 and doesnt knocked over 13. hit 90 od knock when testing so i limiter was a good move

upgrades:

KKR480 turbo

Nismo 555cc Injectors

2.5" turbo back, catback dual 2" exhaust (3-3.5" turboback very soon)

Power FC

FMIC

Q45 AFM

Spitfire Coil Packs

Blitz-icolor

What other damages may i cause driving it around untunned even though it isnt pinging?

dont suppose you have any idea of the A/F ratio? as long as its not running too lean and not knocking, you wont be doing any damage. might need to get some new plugs before you go to the tuner though, if its a bit rich (tune it yourself a bit rich to be safe) it will foul up the plugs a bit, but nothing i can see to be real worried about

It would be a good idea to run a compression test b4 you tune it;l be an indicator how healthy your engine is . if comp is low you may consider a low boost tune to keep it safe in the short term.

lol yeah sorry, shoulda mentioned that, thought it was kinda a given

edit - obvious to run low boost, never thought/personally wouldnt bother with comp test
