R32 Power Window Mechanism

well my drivers side window decided it didnt like life anymore and refuses to come up out of his hole.

Its not an electrical fault, the switch works fine and the mechanism thing rotates,

it just looks like the wire which makes the window go up has come off its pulley

I think i could put it back on there, if only i get get to it!

Ive taken off the upholstery and all the switches and im looking at a big piece of plastic covering.

I peeled that back and theres a few holes in the metal, but none big enough.

Is there any way to get to the power window mechanism? the outside part of the door and the inside seem to be one piece

am i mistaken?

I just had another close look, the cable has come off a pulley. I think it just needs a new pulley, but i cant get to it to check.

iny ideas?

I think you will find the cable has snapped - I was under the impression that mine had just come off for a while but they can't really. The ball at the end comes off and there is no way to replace it - you gotta do the whole assembly minus motor.
