Hello ppl, have searched but cant find anything

Discovered my brake lights arent working, checked the obvious (the globes arent blown and checked the fuse) the globe lights up when the parkers and headlights are on, just not brakes?

Anybody have any ideas????

Cheers...

Yeah tried that mate, none of them didnt have anything to do with my problem

Hi ya mate

Dont know if this info will help ya but it might. i had the same problem with my 31. Where you brake pedal is at the top of the pedal there will be 2 or 3 wires and they will be connected to a push button switch pull them off the switch and touch them this will make your brakes lights come on if they do means the switch is broken and you'll need to replace it. you can get one from any motor store

Yeh was thinking something similar...... Cos if the tail lights come on when lights on then must be something like that!!

Brakes and tail lights are on different circuits, the fact that one works could indicate that it isn’t a grounding issue.

Have you tried making the line hot (adding 12V) to see if the lights come on, then trace the curcuit backwards until it fails. (I am assuming you used a test light at the brake pedal switch to show that the switch was working)

Thanks, i dont have a test lamp so might just take it to auto elect, reckon it will be something simple as, so dont think it would cost much
