TPS? Need help

Hi all,

Please help.

I have just cleaned my throttle body and reset my and accidently took off the TPS(Throttle position sensor). I am having trouble with the idle of it. Originally it was revving at 1200 cold and 700 rpm warm and now it sits at about 1800 cold and 1000 warm. This is revving this high after putting the TPS back close to it's origianl spot. So I have tried to adjust it but it is not getting any better. Please help.

Maybe idle needs adjustment. Is the idle adjuster on the back of the inlet manifold? the screw?

The tps was about 7/10 to 8/10 clockwise. To get revving really low I have to put it fully clockwise but this cannot be right.

1.Turn it all the way in the direction that your idle drops

2.slowly turn it up untill you idle starts to increase then back it of a tad so its just before that point.

That should be pretty much spot on.

*don't adjust your idle up valve if your car was idling fine b4.*
