Factory Screen Question

Hi, just wanted to ask question about the factory nav screen..

when the screen is down, and you start the car, does the screen automatically pop-up?

mine does not but i remember reading somewhere that it does this for some people..

if someone's screen does this can they enlighten us as to the setting to change to get it do work?

I read this somewhere too, i think it only did it when you hit reverse.

doesnt seem to in the 350GT I have here currently. customer has the screen down and I have backed it out of the workshop a few times now.

I'll have to look at the mech when I tear waz's one down.

Mine is 2002 model and the screen does not pop automatically but I remember seeing an '05 model that did have an auto screen.

Got an 05. If the screen was up when you turned the car off, then it pops up when you turn it back on. However if it was down when you last turned the car off, it stays down.

seems like it might be an 05 and up kind of thing by the sounds of it..
