What is the computer in the boot???

Hey all,

I was just a little curious as to exactly what the computer under the parcel shelf does?? I know the ECU is in the front passenger footwell of the r33 so whats the thing in the boot doing>??

I am pretty sure it is the HICAS computer you speak of.

It may sound obvious, but just check your car does actually have hicas - my N/A R33 GTS did not come with hicas, and I was told it was not an option on any of the N/A models...

If you do have hicas, then I agree, it's almost certainly the hicas computer.

Stereo Amplifier? if its mounted on parcel shelf between speakers R32 & 33's have a small amplifier there.

yeah its got hicas never really been sure if it worked though, also standing behind the car with the boot open on the left hand side where the jack is there is a little black motor that has been disconnected it has some cable attached to it and i couldnt for the life of me work out what it was sposed to do?? either way i took it out to make room for subs but neone got a clue what its for??
