Microtech Lt12s

Since a series 2 rb25det doesnt have an igniter at the back of the rocker covers (i've been told it's in the stock computer), what happens when i try to fit this LT12s i've ordered? Does it do the same job, or do i have to go and get an igniter now?

Nope, it's all good mate. ECU's are the same for series 1's and series 2's. It will still run it, pretty much the ignitors are controlled by the ECU and are built into the coilpacks, hence why series 1's and 2's take different coilpacks.

Ahh i see. So the only difference between the s1 and s2 is that the igniter part is built into the coil packs themselves?

I was under the impression that the ECU's were different.

Nope ECU's are the same. Well maybe there are slight differences, maybe a slightly different map or something, but a series 1 ECU will run a series 2 and vice versa.
