the thing that shits me about schoolies is that they show it on the news every year, and they say shit like oh fights at schoolies, waa waa waa.

get over it, it happens every single year, why report it every single time as if its something new.

yeh i was on the news when i went there, they are like violence at schoolies or some shit and they show a few clips, one of me going off at a camera man, long story short some chick paro'd out and the media followed the ambulance to where she was to get a shot of this chick, so anyway, a mixture of existing hatred for the media and disgust at what they were trying to do (i mean think about her parents and relatives seeing that shit on the news) we blocked the cameras off from getting near (peacefully), the camera guys got shitted off with us because they couldnt get a shot, and started calling us little c**ts and all this, anyway from the humble beginnings of me and another bloke it it grew pretty big and eventually after enough shit talking from the camera guys, one camera man got decked from behind which i was standing next to, he got up and looked at me and thought i did it, so now shit was hitting the fan and he was abusing the f**k out of me so i gave some back.

and the thing is, that was the only ruckus of the night and the only thing they showed clips of, and it was started from them abusing us. and thats no bs, they reported on schoolies being out of control using footage of violence they started.

f**k i hate the media.

typical media.

theyre supposed to report the news with an inbiased opinion.

what they do, is report the "news" from their view, without bothering to get the real stories.

speaking of which, the headlines just came on, with schoolies as headlines. see what shit they can spin.

i was down there last year, not too much trouble with the cops, alot of RBTs and i wasnt in a turbo import so didnt get picked on as much, anyone KO'd on the road/footpath or drinking anywhere in victor was in deep shit, half the people there were probably undercover anyway...got bailed up and searched for alcohol countless times.

i guess if you dont clown around like alot of schoolies do then you should be fine,

dont try getting into a caravan park if your not invited either haha, doesnt end up good.

still, was good for some laughs. i went out to buy some shit, as i was heading back in the drive way at the house we were staying at i could just hear all my mates laughing their faces off, im like wtf, walked into the living room they just looked at me and pissed themselves laughing. i remember one of my mates kept f**king crakin up for like the next half hour every now and then when we were sitting down watching TV

    • If you haven't bought the ECU yet, I would strongly consider buying a modern ECU. Yes it is very easy to setup and tune, however it is lacking many of the features of a modern ECU. The pro plug in is something like 10 or 12 years old now? Can't remember exactly but it is very dated now. In that time the Elite was released and now we have the Nexus platform.  I would strongly consider not buying the ECU that is 3 generations old now (especially as it isn't a cheap ECU!).
    • Im happy for it as long as it means reanult gets the boot
    • Sorry I should have been more clear with the previous post.  The block is a sanding block - picture something like this https://motorguard.com/product/motor-guard-bgr161-bgr16-1-rigid-psa-sanding-block-2-5-8-x-16/ The guide coat is the paint It's two separate things I was talking about, there is no "block guide coat".
    • Maybe more accurately, you aren't just dulling the existing paint, you are giving the new paint something to 'grab on to'. By sanding the existing paint, you're creating a bunch of pores for the new paint to hook on to.  You can lay new paint over existing paint without sanding it, might last a year or two then sad times. The paint will peal/flake off in huge chunks. By sanding it, the new paint is able to hang onto it and won't flake off.  Depends on the primer you are using. When you buy your paint, as the paint supplier what grit of sand paper to use before you lay down the primer.  Use whatever you like as a guide coat. Pick a colour that really stands out in contrast to the paint. So say your sanding/painting a currently white car, using a black guide coat would work well. You very lightly lay the black guide coat down, then as you sand the car with the large block, all the high spots and low spots will stand out as the black paint is sanded off (or isn't sanded off).  When you buy your paint, hit up your supplier for recommendations for what paint to use for a guide coat if you're unsure what would work well with your setup.
    • Cheers thanks for the help mate I’ll see how we go with that one
