rb20 sliver/black top turbo on REDtop

hey ppl, i have come across a turbo from an rb20 out of an r32 skyline. I was thinking about puttin it on my red top rb20motor.

(i did a search but couldnt find anythin so i got impatient)

If i were to fit the turbo would it be a case of bolting everything straight up? (including water, oil and intercooler piping)??

I've got one on my R31 coupe. Everything bolts straight up EXCEPT the water lines. The R32 turbo has bigger banjo bolts for the water connections.

thanx for the reply steve, how did you end up gettin around this prob. ?? any gaskets required etc??

I ended up working out the thread pitch and diameter, then went to a Metric bolt specialist and found a suitable bolt. It was a matter of machining the bolt to suit (bore centre/cross drill), plus I also had to bore out the end of the water line to suit the bolt. Obviously unless you have access to the equipment, probably easier to get the bolts from a wrecker...the ones I tried either didn't have them or didn't want to sell.

I didn't use any new gaskets as the old ones looked fine, but I used new copper washers on the oil and water lines.
