hey, im new to the forum. i have a r33r impul 4 door and i want to make it have a deep tough sound to the exhaust. the exhaust shop here told me that a full 3" turbo back system will give it heaps more power and make it sound great. all sounded good except a 3" exhaust isnt much bigger then the standard one. can anyone tell me how this will sound and if it will give me the deep sound im looking for?

regards, daniel

I dont know enough about the Impul models to help you but i would have guessed they would have had some sort of after market exhuast on them from factory. So this could mean you are spending quite a bit of money on upgrading an exhuast that is flowing great anyway. Might be worth looking further into (im sure someone on here will be able to tell you).

As for a tougher sound - simple answer is 3" turbo back with minimal mufflers will give you a loud throaty sounding exhuast and be well and truly big enough.

*please post pics of your impul up!!!!!!

well i have a r33 gtst series 1 and its a 2 door.....the exhaust i have on mine is something like this: dual dump pipes (turbo back) high flow cat and 3.5 inch cat back with a cannon....the whole setup was made by trust/greddy and this was their racing series...cost was around the 1.5 - 2K mark....and believe me this thing makes the car sound awesome

I have a 3 inch dump, standard cat (not for long) and a nismo 3 inch cat back with no middle muffler.

a few of the sydney guys have commented on how different it sounds, and the bark at high revs is completely different and very "throaty"

I love it and love getting complements from it from people on pit wall :D
