R32 Master Cylinder Changeout

They aren't anything special. Just Project Mu sized for a 33 R. The fronts only weigh 0.5 kg heavier for the pair than the rears. But you can't get any hatted back rotors for sensible money. Also the vanes on the rear are, for whatever reason, more substantial & numerous than for the fronts. No idea why that is but I stopped asking such questions after I got sick of the local stuff cracking.

Nope. Just the part number stanped onto t he end.

Mine turned up the other week too. Has BM57 cast into the side & externally looks identical to the R32 unit.

Shipping: 3,700 yen (to WA probably cheaper to over east)

From Greenline. I didn't think it was that cheap but it got sent quickly, to my door & in retrospect: BARGAIN.

Did the calipers turn up yet? I didnt get a chance to clean them up before packing They will come up pretty good with a spit and a polish...at least this way you get to see the true condition as they come off my car (lol, poor excuse for being lazy

Not yet mate. Usually takes 2 full weeks for stuff to arrive. WA being so remote & all. So at best today, probably next week.

Forgot to ask you about hoses. Are the threads etc same as for ordinary Skyline Brembos?

Pharken Japanese holidays means I didn't get my usual email from *insert random name of Japanese parts supplier here* telling me the rims are a further 2 weeks delayed. So I will have plenty of time to bling up the callipers.

I threw the braided brake lines in there. They are perhaps a tad too long for an R32 but they screw up to the hard pipe and dont use the block mount on the hub

Yes. As far as I can tell other than the casting marks on the side & part number there are no external differences between the two units. So I expect the Cusco stopper to work the same.

My 17/16 (BM57) fit my Cusco stopper and was externally dimensionally the same at the std item. Hope that helps.

Does anyone know what the S2 1997 r33 gts-t run in terms of bms?

Would it be an upgrade to a base model r32gtr?

from what i've read on here somwhere the r33 gts-t bms is smaller than the r32 gts-t. so i don't think it would be an upgrade to the gtr

my r33 bm57 was the same as the pov pack r32 one, just wondering why cusco exclude v-specs in there stoppers.
