that sucks man,

once again proves wat victorians really are like. they dont know how to mod cars properly so they have to scam sum1 that has done it.

Look forward to seeing you and your car that's modded properly kick all our asses at DECA or a trackday here in vic when the SA boys come next year :worship:

That's pretty low what the buyer did, but there is no way i'd drive that far without a big deposit and a non-negotiable price in writing with terms.

thankyou for seeing my post as a joke

it could of quiet easily been a SA person that ripped of a victorian so lets no be so judgemental on SAU:vic

i would also like to think it wasnt a SAUer' that did this

I was more disappointed at the refusal for a ride to the airport.

thats downright LOW

negotiating on price is fairly standard............ 35g isnt a bad sale price (after costs)

The price of $38,500 was negotiated before the car left Adelaide and was set after the new os giken gearbox was fitted which cost just over 5 k fitted. It was going to be 35k with the stock gearbox which was negotiated down from 38,900 originally, but yes the ride to the airport thing was low considering i had just spent 8 hours driving and then another 5 hours standing around while the inspection took place, then having to wait for a taxi making me late for my plane all added up to a shit day.

Shit happens, i am over it now and have moved on.

all the best to you mate

the world isnt full of arseholes, but now and then you cant help but deal with one

going to grab an import again one day?

Stagea's are cheap ;):w00t:

stag 4tw

I was going to go straight out and buy a 34 gtr but i might just buy a daily driver till early in the new year just to see what the 34 gtr market does over the release of the r35. Stagea might be an ok daily till i do something more serious, they seem to be a very nice car for the money and not too dated like the aristo.

stags are awesome daily's

bit heavy on juice, but easy 200awkw (auto/piggybacks) or 250awkw (manual/powerFC plus injectors) with the usual bolt on mods

which is plenty for the street...... with the torque my engine puts out, definately more than enough for the street.

good luck with the next one you buy mate, r34gtr would be nice, comes down to $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ ;)

I wouldn't hold your breath for BNR34's to come down too much in price. Unfortunately Australia has decided to bring the R35 GTR into the country (approx $160,000)

which means the average drooler won't be able to afford one of these for anything up to 10 years and therefore keep prices of earlier GTR's up (good news for current owners).

If the R35 GTR wasn't going to be released into this country, we may have been able to import them ourselves in a couple of years for under $100K and if that was the case, all earlier GTR's would crash in price.

The release of the R35 GTR may actually increase the popularity of the earlier GTR's due to commercials and advertising of the R35 in Australia next year which the earlier models never got in this country and not everybody new what they were. The demand for them will go up as the R35 makes them more popular due to the big divide in price and therefore may have the opposite effect on prices (the ole supply vs demand thingy)...........then again, I could be wrong!!

I have been watching the Jap auctions daily and the 34gtr price continues to drop, remember the Japenese pay half what we do for cars and they are encouraged to upgrade. While they continue to drop i will wait, if they stabilise then i will buy. There are many theories about what may or may not happen with the influence of the 35 but i think i will wait and see for myself as prices are dropping as we speak.

I am not sure what i will do yet, i may not have the daily for long before i buy the gtr so i need something that will resell easily.

I saw a cheap 1999 R34 GTR under 40,000kms (not a V-Spec unfortunately) for approx $50K in Brisbane.

If they still have it you may get it even cheaper now.........I think it was AutoTerminal.

If you have the cash though, I would hang out for a V-Spec.....Rob from Sinergy Motorsports assures they will hold their value much better.

personally i would have told him to shove his money up his arse and driven back to adelaide and put it down to a bad experince

I think a knee to the groin would have been fitting. Seriously what a spanner, what are some people like.
