Just want some feedback from those who have had their injectors cleaned. I'm planning to get it done and was wondering if it is really worth doing. I usually run an injector cleaner through it every 5000km. The car has done just over 100,000km.

Will there be much of a performance gain? Or is it more for drivability/engine smoothness? Approx cost?

Any feedback would be great. :)

Depends how clogged they are.. if they're only operating at 60% efficiency then you will receive power gains.. even if just one or two is clogged slightly, you'll get uneven firing into the cylinders which will affect the overall power.

You have any quotes on cost and places in Melb where you are planning on getting it done? thinking about it myself.

Steve: I think they might need a clean coz the engine coughs and splutters (only slightly tho) over 5000rpm. I'm gonna get the plugs done and see if that makes a difference first.

My mechanic said that dirty injectors should be felt throughout the rev range not just up high? So he said done worry about it yet. He quoted $300 to clean all 6, labour inclusive obviously.

Hey rig check the gap in ur plugs sounds like the coils are slowly getting tyred and the gap is too big.Asa for injector cleaner i hate the shit i think it makeds ur injectors dirtier. The chemicals in injector cleaner dissolve any crap that is blocking the tiny holes inthe injector jet .This same crap is found in your tank and fuel lines. There fore the injector cleaner is dissolving the crap in ur tank and trynig to piss it out of the injector sometimes making the problem worse.I would check the plugs out first !
