Where is engine number printed? (RB25DET)

Title says it all...where is this number located on the block? Or is it on one of the plates?

I remember on the RB30 engine it was kinda halfway down the block on a little metal tabby thing that came out. On the RB25 not so sure, can't recall it, could be under the turbo and things where its really easy to read

I've heard it's on the driver's side of the block, just above (or near) the oil filter...

.......... oh, and you could always just look at your registration papers. It's listed there.

If it's like the rb20's it's located just off the firewall on the passengers side halfway down the block on a little tab.

Passenger side, down near the flywheel... That's where a mate found it while buying his r33.

if its anything like the rb26, follow the engine oil dipstick down to the base. it's around that area and a real b*tch to see. if it was like mine, the number had a little rust on it. rub it with a piece of chalk and wipe away the dust with a dry cloth. the number should be filled with chalk making it a little bit easier to see. or you could wet the cloth, sponge the area and try and make out what it is while wet. good luck!
