I remember on the RB30 engine it was kinda halfway down the block on a little metal tabby thing that came out. On the RB25 not so sure, can't recall it, could be under the turbo and things where its really easy to read :)

if its anything like the rb26, follow the engine oil dipstick down to the base. it's around that area and a real b*tch to see. if it was like mine, the number had a little rust on it. rub it with a piece of chalk and wipe away the dust with a dry cloth. the number should be filled with chalk making it a little bit easier to see. or you could wet the cloth, sponge the area and try and make out what it is while wet. good luck!
